As per sources, the finishing touches of the portion are underway and Dwarka Expressway will be opened soon.
Some officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said on Thursday that the Dwarka Expressway’s Gurugram portion is likely to be opened in the first week of March, The Indian Express reported. They added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate it.

Inauguration in February?
Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav has said that the inauguration could take place by the end of February as well or in the beginning of March. He added that they had written to the NHAI, urging them to open the Haryana stretch of the expressway. This would significantly help the commuters, they had said. Yadav said that while they did not receive a written response, they were informed of the project’s progress. Minor works, including the installation of street lights, tiles, and thermoplastic road marking, are still pending, Yadav informed.. These tasks are expected to be completed within the next 15 days. The tentative schedule for the inauguration is either at the end of February or during the first two weeks of March.
Yadav mentioned that Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh held a meeting with Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Following this, Minister Gadkari instructed NHAI officials to expedite the completion of the work along the stretch and ensure its operational readiness. Yadav stated that the work on the Delhi portion of the expressway would require a few months to be finalised.
Dwarka Expressway
The Dwarka Expressway spans a length of 29 kilometers, with 18.9 kilometers situated in Haryana and the remaining 10.1 kilometers in Delhi. It commences from Shiv-Murti on National Highway 8 and extends to near the Kherki Daula toll plaza.
The project, estimated at a total cost of approximately Rs 10,000 crore, is currently planned to link Dwarka Sector 21 to NH-8, traversing through Gurugram sectors 88, 84, 83, and 99-113, including the proposed Global City, before reaching NH-8 just before the Kherki Daula toll plaza.
